SME Supplier Engagement Conference 2014 - Making government business more accessible to SMEs

Hosted by the BBC’s Andrew Neil and with Guest Speakers:

  • The Rt. Hon Francis Maude MP, Minister for the Cabinet Office
  • Sally Collier, Chief Executive, Crown Commercial Service

In March 2011 the Government announced that 25% of all central government spend should be with SMEs by 2015. Government Departments have been working hard to deliver this aspiration with direct spend to SMEs increasing from 6.5% in 2009/10 to 10.5% in 2012/13 but there is more work to be done.

The SME Supplier Engagement Conference 2014 is supported by a number of central government departments including the Cabinet Office, Home Office, MoD, Dept of Health, HMRC, SID4GOV  and the Crown Commercial Service to demonstrate their combined commitment to the SME agenda and working in partnership with suppliers to support growth in this area.
