Global Teleports offers a Branded portfolio of satellite communications services, supporting voice, data, telephony, internet and video communications. VipNet is synonymous with maximum service performance and quality in satellite communications, because it was developed by Global Teleports for highly demanding customers running mission-critical services even at the most remote locations on the planet.
While most satellite service providers have focused their efforts in offering low-cost services to mass-markets, Global Teleports invested in the development of high-performance services, but using minimum bandwidth for highly demanding markets, such as the maritime, aviation repair (AOG), corporate, broadcasting, mining, military, construction and rural market places at very competitive pricing.
Many potential customers come to us not knowing the full extent of their need for satellite communications.
To ensure the customers get what they need most cost effectively they are encouraged to use our consultancy services to:
- Conduct feasibility studies, site surveys, demand analyses
- Liaise with suppliers and licensing authorities
- Review business plans
- Conduct technical analyses and audit of existing equipment
- Develop a theme
- Provide technical support during the procurement, installation and implementation phase of any project
- Analyse a requirement
- Review the marketplace to determine the best fit for purpose equipment / service to meet the identified need
Once a project has been agreed to exchange of contracts we work with the client to ensure best practice and compliance with all required standards for efficient management of that project. We provide trained (Prince 2) project managers who conduct a full risk assessment with the client and agree a schedule of work through all phases of the project.
We can (and often do) provide all services for a 24 x 7 engineering ‘village’ on site, from heat, light and power through to offices, ovens and overalls, via bins, bags and bogs to catering, canteen and communications.
Our Project managers will take care of all aspects of site set up and clearance, including the disposal of the hazardous waste, you may produce.
In addition to classroom training, we always offer training in the operation of equipment that we might supply as part of sales and service contracts. This is to reassure both the customer and ourselves that field equipment will be managed with confidence, competence and co-operation.
With more and more remote users coming online, good disciplines are required to maintain an interference free frequency spectrum. With over 100 years accumulative experience within the Satellite and Communications business, our Training specialists: Roger H Boddy I Eng FIET FRSA MIoD (Founder of Global Teleports), and Mike Bown C Eng FIET(Novatec International Ltd) have been involved in training since 1969 and were involved in the concept of Satellite training at the Post Office Engineering Training School (Leafield) - an internationally recognised centre of excellence and (at that time) the only school involved in Satellite systems training.
