Julia’s clients appreciate her skilful challenge yet caring approach to coaching, which they say leads to deeper insight and learning.  She works closely with her clients to explore hidden potential and aspects of their character to enhance authentic leadership and resilience. Her core values of authenticity and competence underpin all her work.  She prides herself on the ability to build strong rapport and empathy with clients and ensures before taking on an assignment both parties are content, comfortable and clear with the relationship.  Julia draws on a wide range of psychological dimensions in her coaching work; however, she is now starting to develop greater focus in the gestalt and mindfulness approaches.  Julia is passionate about her continuing professional development and regularly takes part in coaching supervision, and is aiming to undertake the Nancy Kline “Time to Think” training in 2014.

In addition to her coaching work Julia delivers a range of Leadership and Management Development workshops including:

• Development of Leadership skills and potential
• Understanding You - raising self-awareness
• Managing Conflict
• Having difficult conversations
• Managing Performance
• Coaching Skills
• Promoting Positive Behaviours in the work-place to support Dignity at Work or anti-Bullying and Harassment policies

Recent clients have summarised Julia’s coaching as follows:

“With Julia’s support I was reminded/encouraged to be who I am, my values and what is important to me.  Julia’s style is challenging but supportive.  Providing straightforward exercises and material for me to work through between sessions.  Her style was trusting.  With Julia’s help I have regained confidence and looking forward to life with renewed energy.” (Financial Director, FE College)

“Julia is clearly a very experienced coach and a great listener. Her coaching manner and approach is very supportive and for the first time in a while I actually feel like I am able to contextualise my aspirations and fears, as well as exploring who I am as a leader.” (Senior Leader, London Fire Brigade)
