Cost effective materials handling demands experience and in today’s fast changing market, the efficiency of your materials handling operation is largely dependant on your equipment, the more efficient and cost-effective your equipment, the greater your competitive edge.

BT is one of the UK's leading suppliers of warehouse and counterbalance trucks.  Part of the Swedish BT Industries group (part of the Toyota Industries Corporation) they are the world’s leading supplier of warehouse trucks and related services. With around 9,000 employees and an annual turnover of approximately SEK 15 billion and seven manufacturing plants located in four countries on two continents, their sales and service network covers the entire world.

Innovation

Having been at the forefront of material handling equipment design, production and customer care for 60 years, BT recognise the importance of efficient materials handling equipment in all business and operations that move goods.

Their current range of counterbalance trucks cover capacity requirements from 1200kg - 5000kg and come with a choice of AC-electric, gas or diesel engines.

BT hand trucks have a worldwide reputation for quality and long working life and their warehouse truck range includes the widest choice of electrically powered trucks for horizontal movement, stacking, order picking and high density storage.

Customer Care

Providing good customer service is just as important as delivering a good product. Without a good understanding of the customer’s requirements, the optimum solution and excellent customer support buyers will quickly move elsewhere.

BT prides itself on its reputation for complete customer solutions and who knows that excellent customer care is a very significant factor in the development of long term customers.

Employing a dedicated work force utilising the latest technology, BT have raised their customer care service levels and today boast some of the best in the Industry.

Information at the touch of a button

Once a call is taken, BT is able to automatically allocate an engineer, based on location, skills and parts availability, ensuring maximum equipment uptime for their customers.

Every BT engineer is equipped with a handheld computer (PDA) giving instant access to essential information on customer fleets, fault reporting, service histories and parts manuals. With information available at the touch of a button BT customers can be confident of a speedy resolution ensuring maximum uptime of their equipment.

Right part for the job

All BT service vehicles carry frequently used parts that reflect the usage in their area.  With the latest computer technology they can ensure that any spares used by the engineer are automatically replenished overnight directly into their vehicles, ready for an early start the next day. In the field, BT engineers can order spares from the warehouse network via their PDA, enabling the time spent on site to be used effectively.

All BT parts are fully warranted ensuring the safety and reliability of customers’ equipment. Unlike many other manufacturers, we can provide a complete spares support for all our models many years after production ceases – a testimony to the longevity of the BT product range.
