Web Video

Moving Pictures - A Web Revolution?

As far as the World Wide Web is concerned video is the new kid on the block, every day it becomes more and more popular and its becoming an important and expected part of the web site experience. So why should you consider using video for your business or organisation. The latest research shows that having web video on your site can improve your search engine rankings plus visitors to your site are more likely to stay longer because video is more compelling and engages people better than blocks of text. That shouldn't be a surprise considering that television has been the most popular medium for as long as most of us can remember. Surprisingly though despite all this evidence its still the case that the majority of sites don't have any video at all which means now is the perfect time for you to produce your video and get ahead of your competition. If you don't believe us here is an interesting article about online video and the way it is engaging web users.

Editing

Choosing your Editor

When producing TV or video everyone working on the team is important but two craft roles stand out as key to the success of the production one is the cameraman and the other is the editor. We have links with a number of film editors who we can match to most projects. Our in house film editor is Judith Robson , who has many successful broadcast credits to her name, her most recent being prime time BBC series "Britain and the Sea" presented by David Dimbleby. Trained in the BBC she was apprentice to film editor Tariq Anwar (Kings Speech, American Beauty) on period dramas (Tender is the Night, Fortunes of War, Across the Lake) and gained two BAFTA nominations for best film soundtrack.

Her first editing roles were on Arts documentaries (Arena Kieslovski, Omnibus Joan Littlewood) where she developed her style before returning to drama (Casualty, The Accused, Castles), where she crafted over 30 hours of single camera drama. Returning to documentaries Jude had to retune her editing career to work with new "up and coming" directors in BBC Factual (The Culture Show, Imagine, Fossil Detectives, Africa Journey of Hope, Berlin, Saving Britain’s Past).
