2015-16 Select Committee activity reviewed by Liaison Committee

The House of Lords Liaison Committee has yesterday published its report on Committee activity in the 2015–2016 Parliamentary Session. The Session was characterised by an increase in the number of investigative select committees or sub-committees and an increase in the number of reports published.

Chairman's Comment

Lord Laming, Chairman of Committees in the House of Lords and Chairman of the Liaison Committee said:

“House of Lords Select Committees are a great example of the House at work. It is clear that their well-researched, thoughtful Reports are well received not just by the House but also by the communities affected by the issues considered. This Report provides an overview of the work of Select Committees in the last year, highlighting their many and varied activities.”
