Appointments to the Advisory Panel to the Welsh Language Commissioner announced
First Minister of Wales Carwyn Jones has recently announced the appointment of three new members to the Advisory Panel to the Welsh Language Commissioner.
The role of the panel is to advise the Welsh Language Commissioner on the Commissioner’s functions.
The following have been appointed to the Advisory panel:
- Mr Nick Speed;
- Dr Heledd Iago; and
- Mrs Meinir Davies
The new members will join Mr Carl Cooper and Mrs Bethan Jones Parry on the Advisory Panel for a period of three years.
First Minister said:
"The panel has an important role to play in advising the Welsh Language Commissioner in promoting the language. I am therefore pleased to be able to announce three new members to the Advisory Panel for the next three years.
"All three new members bring knowledge and experience of working in the private, education and health sector and the legal profession to the panel. I am sure their wide range of skills will help support the Commissioner in her work."
