CBI comments on Michael Moore's report on Europe
The CBI commented on a report by Michael Moore, the former Scottish Secretary, called Doing Business Across Europe: A New Engagement, which was commissioned for the Government by Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.
CBI President Sir Mike Rake said:
"This study makes a strong case for the UK's membership inside an EU committed to reform.
“Europe matters to the future of British jobs and growth, so we must pursue an agenda that gets more trade deals signed, delivers smarter regulation and extends the single market in digital and services.
"The UK has allies in Brussels and, with a new Commission set to be installed, now is the time for the UK and like-minded allies to hold European leaders to their promises of reform."
