The Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE) is holding a networking event for science and technology providers in Birmingham on 30 June 2016.

Registration is open now. It closes on 27 June 2016 at 12:30pm.

The event is taking place in Birmingham at The County Ground, Edgbaston.

Jim Pennycook, Head of Operations at CDE, will introduce CDE and give an overview of proof-of-concept research funding opportunities for innovative science and technology providers.

Technical experts from Dstl (the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory) will provide specific information about the themed competition: ‘seeing through the clouds’. This competition has up to £500,000 available for fully funded phase-1 projects.

David Hazelton, CDE’s Deputy Technology Manager will talk about CDE’s enduring competition..

In addition, Bruce Hardie, CDE’s Technology Manager, will talk about how to create an effective proposal for CDE funding.

Attendees will be able to book a face-to-face meeting with CDE and Dstl subject matter experts to discuss potential proposals to the ‘seeing through the clouds’ themed competition, and also to the enduring competition, once you’ve signed up for the main event.

There will be networking opportunities with other potential bidders, current Dstl suppliers, CDE, Dstl and military experts.
