CESG, the Information Security arm of GCHQ, in partnership with APM Group, has yesterday launched the CESG Certified Training (CCT) scheme to assure high quality cyber security training in the UK.

This marks another significant step in the development of the UK’s knowledge, skills and capability in all fields of cyber security as part of the National Cyber Security Programme.

One of the key objectives of the programme is to enhance the professionalism of those working in, or aspiring to, the cyber security profession. Good training is at the heart of this.

APM Group, as the only CESG-approved independent Certification Body for training in the UK, will manage the scheme and certify training courses to ensure they meet the required standard and to provide clarity of choice for those who wish to enhance their cyber security skills.

APM Group will assess training courses under the scheme against the relevant areas of the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP) Skills Framework. Anyone looking to acquire and improve cyber security skills, including those seeking certification in the CESG Certified Professional Scheme, will find the CCT Scheme invaluable, as both the course content and course delivery are assessed.
