Call for Nominations: Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) Working Group

Following the launch of techUK’s whitepaper focused on the industrialisation of distributed ledger technology in banking and financial services (co-authored with TCS), we are now collating interest for members to join our new DLT Working Group, exploring the potential for the technology in the financial sector and beyond.

The Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) Working Group will provide strategic direction for all techUK activities related to blockchain and DLT. It will consider what action can be taken in order to industrialise, support blockchain technology readiness, help organisations with adoption and consider use cases not limited to financial services but a wide range of other sectors, including, the Internet of Things, smart energy & utilities, smart contracts and government.

The Working Group will meet four times a year, with further meetings to be scheduled as required/agreed by the membership. The first meeting will take place at techUK’s offices on Tuesday 6th September, 15:00-17:00.

For more information relating to the group’s remit and for details to apply for membership, please consult the attached terms of reference and nomination form. techUK will undertake an internal selection process for the group’s membership in its first term to ensure it is representative across sectors.

Interested members are requested to fill in the attached nomination form by COP on the 19th of August and return to james.lee@techuk.org. If you wish to nominate someone alternative from your organisation, please let us know, especially if you have an individual in mind who may be on leave.
