Call for evidence to support review of computer science

HEFCE is supporting an independent review into computer science degree provision and graduate employability led by Sir Nigel Shadbolt.

As part of this review we are conducting a short survey that will run until 21 August 2015.

The survey is designed to gather the views of:

  • higher education institutions,
  • industry (including individual businesses and sector organisations)
  • professional bodies.

This review and survey will have a key role in helping to ensure that the UK has the computer science graduates that it needs in the coming years.

We therefore welcome views via the survey in order to contribute to this important piece of work.

Notes

  1. Please note, we are also running a separate review of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects, led by Professor Sir William Wakeham. This should not be confused with the review of computer science above. Sir William’s review will look more broadly at degree accreditation and graduate employability across other STEM subjects, part of which includes a separate survey.
