Civil Service Fast Stream second round application window opens 1 February 2016

The Fast Stream is the Civil Service's flagship graduate development programme.

We are pleased to announce our scheduled second round application window for the Government Economics ServiceGovernment Operational Research Service and the Government Statistical Service opens 1 February 2016.

Far from your average graduate scheme, the Fast Stream programme offers talented and ambitious graduates an accelerated route to leadership within the Civil Service. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to take on some of the biggest social, economic, political and security challenges facing the UK today and the chance to make a real difference in people’s lives.

Sir Jeremy Heywood, Cabinet Secretary and Head of the Civil Service said:

the Fast Stream is widely recognized as one of the best graduate schemes in the country, ranked fifth in the Times Top 100 Graduate Employers in 2014-2015.

See Sir Jeremy’s blog post on what Fast Stream graduates could achieve.

The Fast Stream aims to have the UK’s best and brightest graduates in Civil Service leadership roles within 3 to 5 years and offers a wide range of supported learning and development, professional qualifications, formal training courses, mentoring and job-shadowing.

You can visit the Fast Stream pages on GOV.UK for more information on the different schemes, on how to apply and on who can apply.

Please note that if you applied for any of the Fast Stream schemes between September and November 2015 then you won’t be eligible to apply again until late 2016.
