Commission welcomes report showing benefit of new national living wage to female workers

Commenting in response to the Resolution Foundation's report published yesterday, which says that three in every ten female workers are to benefit from the new national living wage, Caroline Waters, Deputy Chair at the Equality and Human Rights Commission, said:

“We welcome this research and the much needed boost that the introduction of the new national living wage will provide in closing the gender pay gap. We look forward to playing a full part in making further progress to close the gap.”
