Crossrail supply chain opportunities event in Ewloe for construction and manufacturing companies

Welsh construction and manufacturing SMEs are being encouraged to learn more about supply chain opportunities for Crossrail - the largest infrastructure project in Europe that’s delivering a new railway for London and south east England.

A Crossrail Opportunities event takes place at the Village Hotel in Ewloe on the 25 November (10:30 – 16:00) with speakers lined up from Crossrail and Laing O’Rourke, Costain Skanska, Bam Ferrovial Kier JV, NG Bailey and Alstom Costain JV - major suppliers of Crossrail who are all looking to extend their supply chain.

This  event is being organised by the Construction Futures Wales programme - a joint initiate between the Welsh Government construction sector and Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) in Wales.

It provides  a unique opportunity to hear directly from some of the leading national construction companies and to understand how their supply chains work.
The event is designed to develop the Welsh supply chain, provide networking opportunities and highlight the wide and varied opportunities available for businesses of all sizes - particularly for fit-out and mechanical and electrical systems specialist services.

Crossrail is the largest infrastructure project in Europe, delivering a new railway for London and the South East.  This major new railway will be over 100km long and include 21km of new rail tunnels under central London and ten new stations. Crossrail will increase London's rail capacity by 10% and carry more than 200 million passengers a year when it opens in 2018.

Crossrail is working with some of the biggest names in UK construction, as well as hundreds of small and medium sized enterprises from across the country.

The event is free to attend and places are limited so businesses are encouraged to book now to avoid disappointment. More information can be found on
