Deputy head teacher to face time behind bars
A deputy head teacher from Ealing, who pleaded guilty to possessing, showing and making indecent images of children has been sentenced to 33 months in prison yesterday at Blackfriars Crown Court.
Peter William Allott, 36, from Marchwood Crescent in Ealing was arrested in December 2015 by officers from the National Crime Agency’s CEOP Command. He was identified after intelligence was received that an individual had been using video conferencing facilities to share indecent images of children (IIOC) with others around the UK.
At the time of his arrest Peter Allott was the Deputy Head at St Benedict’s Catholic Independent Day School in Ealing.
At a hearing in March 2016, Allott also admitted one offence of possessing extreme pornography and possession of class A drugs.
Matt Sutton from the NCA’s CEOP Command said:
“Every indecent image of a child is an image of a child being abused. Peter Allott had images of the worst category in his possession and it is appropriate that he is now serving a custodial sentence.
“Whilst there is no evidence that Allott abused his position of trust at his place of work, we consider he posed a significant risk due to nature of the images he was sharing.
“We will continue to identify individuals who think they can share indecent images of children under the radar of law enforcement, and ensure they are brought to justice”.
