Dyfed-Powys officer to appear at court in connection with alleged assault

A Dyfed-Powys police officer will appear at court to face a charge of common assault following an investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

PC Simon Reynolds, 38, who is based at Llanelli Police Station, will appear at Swansea Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 18 June.

The charge is in relation to an allegation that a 27-year-old man was assaulted following his arrest in Llanelli in the early hours of Saturday, 22 November 2014.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission investigated the incident after receiving a referral from Dyfed-Powys Police in December 2014.
