End your summer with a bOing!

bOing! returns to Kent this August (27 & 28) for its third instalment, boasting two days packed with great arts activities for all the family – including three world premieres, a co-commission and the exciting ART31 stage.

Led by Gulbenkian, bOing! brings together work by leading UK and international companies, artists and performers to create an exciting programme aimed at engaging children and young people with arts and culture. Much of the programme is completely free and ticketed events range from just £1-£6.

Hedley Swain, Area Director, Arts Council England, said: “bOing! is a great festival for all the family, providing a fun opportunity for children and young people – and their parents – to engage with high quality arts and culture. Led by Gulbenkian, which is run by the University of Kent, bOing! has an important role in establishing Canterbury – and more widely Kent – as a cultural destination that attracts some of the world’s leading artists.”

Liz Moran, Director, Gulbenkian, said: “bOing! is well on its way to becoming one of the leading family arts festivals in Europe, with up to 10,000 people expected to attend this year. We have performances by brilliant artists that you cannot see together anywhere else in the UK. Canterbury and East Kent is a great holiday destination and bOing! is another fantastic reason for families to come here over the summer.”
