FCA to engage on barriers to innovation in mobile and digital FS solutions
FCA calls for stakeholder input at series of events around barriers to innovation in mobile and digital financial services
Following on from its recent call for input on regulatory barriers to innovation in digital and mobile solutions for finance services, the FCA has announced that it will be hosting two stakeholder events on the 3rd and 11th of August. The FCA would like to hear from stakeholders about specific examples of regulatory barriers that deterred them from innovating with digital and mobile solutions for financial services or from entering the market at all. The FCA is also eager to hear about any rules or policies that should be introduced to facilitate innovation.
Each event is aimed at a specific audience, as detailed below:
August 3rd
Payments Services and Systems
Banks and Building Societies
AML and KYC
August 11th
Retail investment advice and asset management
Mobile network providers and technology devices industry
Insurance brokers and providers
Those interested in attending should visit the FCA's website to register. The application process will close on Monday, 27 July.
