Games-style communication for Road Modernisation Plan works
We have unveiled a 'Games-style' approach to keeping London's traffic flowing.
Alongside huge investment to improve public transport, we are investing £4bn in the Road Modernisation Plan to make the road network fit for the 21st century.
As a result there will be a significant impact on roads, particularly in central London and on routes into the centre.
To keep customers informed of the changes, radio, press, roadside message signs and social media are all being used in addition to our website and regular emails.
All road users are advised to check online to see if they are affected and to get all the information they need to steer clear of delays.

Tens of thousands of leaflets are also being provided to residents and businesses who may be affected by modernisation work, containing detailed advice on the key times and locations that work will be carried out and giving alternative travel options.
