GeoLang Ltd CEO, Debbie Garside, presented in the final round of the UK's Most Innovative Small Cyber Company of the Year on Friday, 4 June at InfoSecurity Europe. With tough competition, the presentation of Ascema, GeoLang's data loss prevention technology, landed them the first time title of the UK's Most Innovative Small Cyber Company of the Year. The four finalists included PureLifiPervade Software and Zonefox, and the judges were Nazo Moosa (Managing Partner, C5 Capital) and David Cass (CISO, Elsevier).

The competition was an initiative through Cyber Connect UK, in partnership with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport's Cyber Security team (formerly in the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills), and the Cyber Growth Partnership. After the semi-final pitch event, Debbie Garside stated, "It is a privilege to have made it this far already and a great opportunity to bring our Ascema technology to the global stage, particularly given the strength of the competition. The GeoLang team can already take pride in getting to this stage, no matter the final result, as it confirms the value of our efforts and tenacity."

The competition was sponsored by Atkins and HP, and supported by techUK. Initially, 11 shortlisted companies entered into a semi-final pitch-fest on 27 April, where 4 finalists were chosen to move forward. All 11 companies were then given booths in the Cyber Innovation Zone at InfoSecurity Europe, funded by DCMS.

We would like to thank all of our participants, sponsors and supporters, and congratulate GeoLang Ltd on their new title!
