Hammersmith flyover works to finish in August

Strengthening of Hammersmith flyover is now 80 per cent complete and work is on track to be finished this summer.

The final phase of engineering will involve just four more weekends which will affect traffic mainly in one direction, but with some complete closures overnight when diversions will be clearly signed.

The works take place on the following dates, with the full closures between 22:30 on Saturday and 10:00 on Sunday for the first two weekends and 22:30 Saturday and 5:00 on Monday for the final two to help complete the works as quickly as possible:

Friday 10 July - Monday 13 July

Eastbound closure (22:30 Friday to 5:00 Monday)

Westbound closure (22:30 Saturday to 10:00 Sunday)

Friday 17 July - Monday 20 July

Westbound closure (22:30 Friday to 5:00 Monday)

Eastbound closure (23:30 Saturday to 10:00 Sunday)

Friday 24 July - Monday 27 July

Eastbound closure (22:30 Friday to 5:00 Sunday)

Westbound closure (22:30 Saturday to 5:00 Monday)

Friday 7 August - Monday 10 August

Eastbound closure (22:30 Friday to 5:00 Sunday)

Westbound closure (22:30 Saturday to 5:00 Monday)
