Index of manufacturing exports for Scotland for the 3rd quarter of 2014

A National Statistics publication for Scotland.

Scotland’s Chief Statistician yesterday announced the publication of the latest Index of Manufactured Exports for the third quarter of 2014.

This quarterly publication measures changes, in constant-price and seasonally-adjusted terms, in export sales to the rest of the world from manufacturing businesses located in Scotland.

The main findings are:

  • The volume of Scottish manufactured export sales grew by 1.8 per cent during the third quarter of 2014.
  • On a rolling-annual basis, comparing the latest four quarters to the previous four quarters, manufactured export volumes fell by 0.5 per cent.
