Key Scottish Environment Statistics

A National Statistics Publication for Scotland. 

Scotland's Chief Statistician published Key Scottish Environment Statistics 2014.

The publication provides key datasets on the state of the environment in Scotland, with an emphasis on trends over time. It contains charts on public attitudes to the environment, global atmosphere, air quality, water, marine, radioactivity, waste, land, conservation and biodiversity which are supplemented by text providing brief background information on environmental impacts and relevant legislation. It is accompanied by a separate Excel workbook containing the full datasets. A two page overview provides a summary of the recent trends shown by the statistics.

This publication includes previously published statistics and figures produced by other organisations, some of which are not official statistics. The publication is only available as a web publication.

The figures released were produced by independent statistical staff free from any political interference, in accordance with professional standards set out in the Code of Practice for Official Statistics
