LOVE IS IN THE AIR LINE

With flower stalls across the capital flushed with red petals and gift shops reminding us of the colour difference between roses and violets, it can only mean that Valentine's Day is fast approaching.

While couples will be eagerly awaiting this annual feast of romance, it can also bring a dreaded panic of finding a gift that delivers the wow-factor.

Fortunately this year the Emirates Air Line is offering London's lovers an experience that is guaranteed to take them to new romantic heights.

For just £50, couples will be able to soar above the Thames and enjoy unparalleled views of the city by night from a private cabin.

The trip comes complete with all the Valentine's Day essentials as couples can toast their journey with a glass of Laurent Perrier Brut NV Champagne and enjoy a box of Godiva chocolates.

There will also be romantic music and an in-flight video to accompany the 20-minute round trip flights, while passengers can soak up the evening scenery and look out for the famous landmarks with a free viewing guide.

Head of Emirates Air Line Danny Price said: 'We want couples to escape the hustle and bustle of London in the privacy of their own cabin and enjoy the romantic views of London after dark.

'A growing number of our guests visit us to celebrate special occasions so we are very pleased to be offering Champagne, chocolates and music - creating a unique Valentine's experience this year.'

Passengers for the Emirates Air Line Valentine's experience should arrive at the Emirates Greenwich Peninsula Terminal at least 15 minutes before their flight. The nearest Tube station is North Greenwich on the Jubilee line.
