Leading tech figures recognised in Queen's Birthday Honours
Helen Milner, Ed Richards and Nicola Mendelsohn amongst a number of leading figures from the tech community recognised in this year’s Queen's Birthday Honours list.
techUK is pleased to congratulate a number of leading figures from the tech community recognised in this year's Queen's Birthday Honours list.
- Professor Anne Glover, Former Chief Scientific Adviser to the President of the European Commission, was awarded a DBE for services to science.
- Nicola Mendelsohn, Co-Chair of the Creative Industries Council and EMEA Vice President at techUK member Facebook, has been awarded a CBE for services to the Creative Industries.
- Ed Richards, recently Chief Executive at Ofcom, received a CBE for services to the Media, Telecoms and Communications markets.
- Judith Butler, Chair of the Board at Cyber Security Challenge UK, was awarded an OBE for services to the development of cyber skills.
- Michael Blackburn, North West Regional Director at techUK member BT, receives an OBE for services to the Economy in the North West.
- Helen Milner, Chief Executive at the Tinder Foundation, is awarded an OBE for services to Digital Inclusion.
- Eileen Burbidge, Partner at Passion Capital and member of the Digital Economy Council, receives an MBE for services to Business.
