Man shot by Northumbria Police dies

A 24 year old man shot by Northumbria Police in the early hours of Tuesday 29 March sadly died late in the evening on Friday 1 April. He was James Wilson from South Shields.

IPCC Commissioner Carl Gumsley said:

“Our thoughts are with James’ friends and family at this very difficult time.”

The IPCC investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
