Minister for Africa condemns Al Shabaab attack on UN

Africa Minister James Duddridge condemns attack on a UN vehicle in Somalia and reinforces support of international community.

Mr Duddridge said yesterday:

I utterly condemn yesterday’s brutal attack by Al Shabaab on a United Nations vehicle in Garowe, Puntland, which killed and injured a number of people, some of Somali nationality and some from other countries.

My thoughts and sympathies are with the families and friends of all the victims who were working to improve health and education for children in Somalia. Terrorism will never shake the resolve of the international community to support the people of Somalia to build a peaceful, stable and prosperous future.
