NHS Confederation responds to junior doctor contract offer

Rob Webster, Chief Executive, NHS Confederation responded to the offer to junior doctors made by the Secretary of State for Health and NHS Employers.
 
“It is positive that we can now see some of the details of a new contract and be able to move this conversation on. Working together to agree a final contract is now the best way forward for all parties – and most importantly for the NHS. We need a sustainable NHS for the future, and we must make sure that we attract and retain the best doctors. I hope today is a positive step forward in ending this stalemate that is not benefiting doctors, patients, or the NHS.”
