New members appointed to The Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales and Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales

Public Services Minister, Leighton Andrews yesterday announced two new appointments to the Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales and the Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales.

Julie May and McDuff Theodore Joloza have been appointed as  members of the Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales. Julie May has also been appointed to the Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales.

Leighton Andrews said:

“I am pleased to appoint both Julie May and McDuff Theodore Joloza to the Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales and Julie to the Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales.

“These new appointments are in preparation for the important job the Commission and Remuneration Panel will be required to undertake as part of reforming local government and Ms May and Mr Joloza bring a wide range of relevant skills and experience to the roles.”

The appointments to the Commission commence on 1 September for a three year term.

The appointment to the Remuneration Panel will commence on 1 January 2016 for a four year term.
