Ofcom accredits comparison service MobilePhoneChecker

Ofcom has yesterday accredited MobilePhoneChecker.co.uk for its price comparison service.

Ofcom accreditation is awarded to price comparison services after they have passed a rigorous independent audit.

This ensures that the comparisons they provide are accessible, accurate, transparent, comprehensive and up-to-date.

In 2014, 61% of adults in Britain said they would be more likely to use a price comparison website or service if it belonged to a code of practice approved by the relevant industry regulator*.

MobilePhoneChecker.co.uk

Launched in 2006, MobilePhoneChecker.co.uk provides information for consumers to compare the costs of mobile phone packages.
Claudio Pollack, Ofcom Consumer and Content Group Director, said: “Having access to clear and accurate pricing information on communications services is fundamental to consumer choice.

“By using an Ofcom-accredited price comparison service consumers can expect to receive accurate, transparent and comprehensive pricing information to help them to choose the best deal for them.”

MobilePhoneChecker.co.uk is the sixth price comparison website currently accredited under the Ofcom scheme and joins BillMonitor.com, BroadbandChoices.co.uk, SimplifyDigital.co.uk, Cable.co.uk and Broadband.co.uk.
