Over the next three years, the Arts Council’s focus will be on supporting museums to become more sustainable and resilient businesses and to maximize the benefits they have in their communities.

With challenging times ahead, Arts Council England’s Director of Museums, John Orna-Ornstein, will be hosting a series of panel discussions and workshops about building a resilient museum sector for the future.   

John will be joined by panellists, including, Tamalie Newbery from the Association of Independent Museums, independent consultant Gaby Porter, and Maria Balshaw, the Director of Whitworth Art Gallery, University of Manchester and Manchester City Galleries.

These events will be held in London and Manchester and are aimed at people in the early stages of their career (within the first six years of their first entry-level museum role). They will offer an opportunity for people to present their ideas and opinions directly to leading policy makers and sector professionals.

Tickets are free, but places are limited to 30 people per event.
