Seeking new equality and diversity representatives for User Advisory Group

Would you like to represent the views of archive users and help to improve The National Archives' services for all groups of the community? If you are a regular archive user and can offer insights into accessibility, diversity and inclusion then we would like to hear from you.

We are seeking voluntary representatives to join our User Advisory Group (UAG) - in particular, from people whose access needs or ethnic origins are currently under represented. The UAG aims to give people who use our services the opportunity to participate in the organisation's planning and decision making processes at a strategic level.

Our advisory group meets four times a year during normal working hours (Monday to Friday) at our site in Kew, South West London. Group members commit for a minimum term of one year and make every effort to attend meetings. They undertake to represent different sections of diverse communities, not only their own interests. UAG members are able to claim back travel expenses, and lunch will be provided.

Find out more about the UAG and how to apply. You can also contact us at uag@nationalarchives.gov.uk.

The closing date for expressions of interest is 29 August 2014.

We will be seeking new representatives to fill other UAG vacancies arising in October 2014 - please keep an eye on our website for more information.
