The Higher Education Council for England (HEFCE) and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) are currently seeking evidence to feed into the Shadbolt Review of Computer Science Degree Accreditation and Graduate Employability. The Shadbolt Review seeks to identify skills needs in the labour market for Computer Science graduates. This review will play a key role in helping to ensure that UK computer science graduates have the skills they need to find a job and to innovate using state of the art technologies.

techUK is delighted that Phil Dawson of Skyscape, techUK Board member and SME Champion, was appointed to the Advisory Board to the Shadbolt Review into Computer Science accreditation and graduate employability.

If you would like to share your views and experience to inform the Shadbolt Review, please complete this short survey run by HEFCE.

The survey is designed to gather the views of higher education institutions, industry (including individual businesses and sector organisations), and professional bodies.

The survey will close on 21 July 2015.

The Shadbolt Review is part of a wider independent review of STEM degree accreditation, which will look at whether there are other areas of STEM degree course provision that would merit similar investigation.

techUK gathered member views to input to the Shadbolt Review via the Skills, Talent and Migration Group. If you would like to find out more about the Skills, Talent and Migration Group contact Laura Weidinger.
