Social Development Committee publishes report

The Committee for Social Development has recently published its Report on an inquiry into allegations arising from a BBC NI Spotlight programme which aired on 3 July 2013.

The Report investigated a number of allegations, including that the Minister for Social Development misled the Committee for Social Development on meetings in relation to Northern Ireland Housing Executive's double glazing programme.

As part of the Report's conclusions, the Committee agreed a Motion, after taking a vote: 'That the Minister for Social Development deliberately misled the Committee for Social Development'.

The Report will be debated by MLAs in Plenary on 8 September 2014 and is available to view and download on the Assembly's website.
