SpaceTech 2014! Where space technology meets industry.

High-tech entrepreneurs and businesses looking to create new or improved products and services can explore how technology developed for space missions like Rosetta can help them innovate and accelerate at SpaceTech 2014

Taking place at STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Harwell Oxford on Wednesday 8 October, SpaceTech 2014 is the UK’s premier, space technology brokerage and networking event. Organised jointly by the Science and Technology Facilities Council, European Space Agency and Enterprise Europe Network, it aims to strengthen connections between UK and European space research and commercial business development on Earth in non-space sectors such as energy, telecommunications and healthcare.

Matthew Edwards, ESA Technology Transfer Broker for UK explains “SpaceTech 2014 has been designed to create an environment that encourages open innovation and quality networking for businesses. The event will give businesses the opportunity to see the vast array of technologies that make up a space mission like Rosetta, while demonstrating how to find international business partners and work with UK Space Gateway at Harwell”.

The targeted business matchmaking element allows businesses to start networking before the event through pre-event profiling which can be set up during registration to initiate valuable cross-border contacts and co-operations. Also offered are, business and funding support sessions detailing what support is available to transfer this technology, including opportunities through Horizon 2020.
