Supported housing consultation: resources for members

Following on from the announcement of the supported housing consultation last month, we have been doing some initial analysis of the consultation document and begun to engage our members on the issues it raises.

We have produced a number of supporting materials and other resources for organisations looking to respond to the consultation.

Responding to the consultation

The consultation deadline is Monday 13 February. You can find all the consultation documentation here. We would encourage members to make their own submissions to the consultation, focusing on the issues that are most important to you or for which you have evidence.

To support organisations to respond, we have produced a briefing and slide-set on the consultation. These documents outline some of the key issues we feel are raised by the consultation and which members might want to consider when drafting their responses. These can be found at the bottom of this page.

If there is anything you would like to feed into our submission, please do email key points to paula.reid@homelesslink.org.uk by Tuesday 31 January.

Webinars

We have held two webinars on the future funding of supported housing. Our most recent one, which you can listen to here, covers the detail of the Government consultation and some of our initial thoughts on the issues it raises. For background, you can also listen to our earlier podcast on supported housing funding, which discussed key points arising for the Secretary of State’s statement in September.

Policy forum

We will be holding a policy forum meeting in London to discuss the supported housing consultation on Thursday 19 January, 10:00-13:00. Space is limited so please do email paula.reid@homelesslink.org.uk if you would like to attend. Please note that this event is for Homeless Link and Sitra members only.

Call for case studies

We are looking for case studies to support our current influencing work around supported housing funding by demonstrating the value and impact of these services. These can either be service-level case studies, or case studies from individuals you are supporting. If you have anything you would like to share, please email paula.reid@homelesslink.org.uk by Tuesday 31 January.
