BCS introduce New Advanced Diploma in Business Analysis

In response to demand from the Business Analysis community for further professional development support, BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT has launched a new Advanced International Diploma in Business Analysis, adding to its portfolio of professional certifications within this rapidly growing specialist area.

Jon Buttriss, CEO, BCS Learning & Development Ltd, part of the Institute, said: “We have introduced the new BCS Advanced International Diploma in Business Analysis, supported by Assist Knowledge Development*, as a direct result of listening to the BA community. After extensive research via focus groups of practising professionals we know that continuing development is what they want in order to realise their full potential. The advanced diploma means senior analysts will be able to gain recognition for their expertise as well as their contribution to the wider community.”

BCS offers a comprehensive range of business analysis certifications from foundation through to the Business Analysis Expert, structured to offer ongoing career-long learning and industry recognition. Worldwide, it has certified over 70,000 Business Analysts, providing a career pathway for all BAs whatever their level of experience.

The launch of the new BCS Advanced International Diploma in Business Analysis is an exciting and significant step within the growing field of Business Analysis. It builds on the recent announcement of the strategic alliance with the International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA^®). It will help to increase recognition of the profile and value for business analysis and the role it plays in helping organizations achieve greater business outcomes.

In August, BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT and International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA®) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the aim of establishing Business Analysis (BA) as a global profession and discipline. The agreement allows for greater collaboration between the two organisations, including the development of a joint certification roadmap.
