Top tips for growing overseas - CBI

We have collect the top five key learnings that have been shared at the #MSBMonday Summit 2014 from medium-sized businesses that have grown overseas.

  1. Trust is key to starting up in a new market and building strong business relationships
  2. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes but make sure that you learn from them
  3. Exporting is an investment that can pay off, so don’t be afraid in spending time or money
  4. Respect cultural differences in markets and take the time to do your research
  5. Working with others can be a good way to expand into new markets – it’s better to have a smaller piece of pie, than no pie at all!
