Tram information boost for South London

Live tram information is now available across the TfL network, making journeys even easier.

Customers can get up-to-the-minute details on tram services, destinations and arrival times through tfl.gov.uk and the electronic service update boards across the wider TfL network.

The move is part of TfL's commitment to having its data openly available.

Developers are using the information to create smartphone apps that help people move around quickly and easily.

Around 8,200 developers are already registered to use the data, which is already powering almost 500 apps.

Rory O'Neill, TfL's Director of Trams, said: 'The tram network is a vital transport link in south London and much has been done to improve it, including introducing extra services to help meet growing demand.

'Making live service information easily available to our customers will make using the tram network even easier, and shows how we're harnessing technology to give people better journeys.'
