Upcoming Multiple Needs Summit
On the 22nd of April, Collaborate will be holding a workshop at the National Multiple Needs Summit, which is being hosted by Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM), a coalition of four national charities – Clinks, DrugScope, Homeless Link and Mind.

With little over a month until the summit, MEAM has shared a bulletin with the latest news about multiple needs.

Host a conversation on multiple needs policy
During March 2015, we're inviting people with experience of multiple needs - and the practitioners that support them - to debate what the next government should do to improve support for this group.
As part of our Voices from the Frontline project we're inviting you to hold a conversation with people in your local service, peer group or community, and to send us your thoughts and reflections. A toolkit and accompanying materials are available to help you start the conversation. With your support, we'll publish a report in May making recommendations that draw on your ideas and experience, and shape our discussions with the next government.
For more information please see the website.
Three asks for the next government
In advance of May, MEAM has published three top-level asks for the next government. These include:
Listening to the voices of people with multiple needs and those who support them
Making local areas accountable for delivering effective, joined-up services for people with multiple needs
Developing a new national focus to help local areas tackle multiple needs.
We will be working with decision makers before and after the election to ensure that these asks - and the recommendations from the Voices From the Frontline project - are considered by the next administration.
MEAM Approach: The support we offer
This year we have supported ten local areas across the country to design and deliver better coordinated services for people facing multiple needs. Seven of these areas are now delivering coordinated interventions and are key partners in the national MEAM Approach network.
From April, we are intending to grow this network and expand the support we provide. If your area is interested in developing better responses for people facing multiple needs then our locally based and expert staff can provide unique packages of bespoke, flexible support. Please do contact us if you would like to discuss a support package for your area.

There are a few places for the summit left, so book now if you would like to attend. The full workshop programme is now available online.
