Update for customers of LQD Markets

LQD Markets (UK) Limited has entered the special administration resolution regime. Matthew Haw, Matthew Wild and Graham Bushby of Baker Tilly Restructuring and Recovery LLP have been appointed as joint special administrators of the firm.

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) is aware of the situation and is working with the special administrators to understand what the failure of the firm might mean for consumers.

FSCS cannot confirm at this stage whether claims for compensation might exist. Once the special administrators conclude their investigations we will be in a position to provide more information.

Across the calendar year, a total of 61 financial firms were declared in default and we made 40,197 claim decisions for 27,145 customers. FSCS Chief Customer Officer, Sarah Marin, tells us more.
