Visa Biometric Clinics to be held weekly in Quito and Guayaquil

Visa Biometric Clinics in Ecuador will now be held weekly in peak season.

UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration) has begun working with a new provider to organise biometric clinics for people in Ecuador applying for a UK visa. As a result, biometric clinics will now be held weekly during peak season (May to August) instead of monthly as was previously the case. This will help enormously with processing the volume of visa applications. Click here to apply for a UK visa.

AS UKVI transitions to the new provider, it has come to light that there have been some issues with the process. UKVI has advised that anyone who has applied online, but is unable to make an appointment for the biometric clinic should apply for a refund and then start the application again. Once the new application is submitted they will be re-directed to the appointment page for the biometric clinics.

The following information will help those who wish to get a refund:

  • To apply for a refund, applicants should go to the following linkwww.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk and log-in using the same user name and password as when they initially applied. Then, go to the “View Payments” section, and select the “Apply for a Refund” option.

Location of biometric clinics:

Quito: Alonso de Torres OE-712 y Avenida Al Parque (esquina), Edificio Centrum Piso 2 Oficina 206, El Bosque, Quito

Guayaquil: Hotel Oro Verde, Avenida 9 de Octubre, Guayaquil
