War Pension Scheme payments increases from April 2015

The new rates of pensions and allowances payable under the War Pensions Scheme from 6 April 2015 have now been announced and are set out in the tables below.

The rates have been increased by 1.2 per cent, in line with the September 2014 Consumer Prices Index (CPI) figure.

Those currently getting a War Pension or War Widows(er)’s Pension will receive a letter confirming their new pension details before April.

Allowances and supplements for disablement pensioners

Unemployability supplement

The allowance for an adult dependant, spouse or civil partner may be affected if they earn more than £73.10 a week. This is in line with the earnings limit for Incapacity Benefit (long term), JSA or State Pension. If they are not working at present but begin work or start to receive any benefit or income in their own right you must let us know immediately.
