Welsh NHS Confederation comments on Making A Difference Report
Vanessa Young, Director of the Welsh NHS Confederation, said: “Prevention and early intervention play a vital role in improving and maintaining people’s wellbeing and reducing ill health. Today’s report identifies some key actions which would help to address some of our biggest public health challenges.
“The importance of a happy and healthy nation to our NHS, our economy and society as a whole must not be underestimated. We all have a role to play in achieving this and all of us, including those in the NHS, public sector, government, third sector, housing and education need to come together to build a happier, healthier and fairer Wales.
“It is also important that people recognise the role they can play when it comes to looking after their own health. We would therefore encourage people to work alongside these organisations to do what they can to improve their health and wellbeing.”
