#helpie your commuter pals
The TfL Travel Better London campaign, which encourages customers to consider their fellow passengers when travelling, has been adopted by Network Rail and taken across the UK with its 'Lend a Helping Hand' initiative.
Both campaigns celebrate people helping each other, being more courteous to one another and spreading goodwill on the transport network.
Network Rail is asking commuters to tweet, post or blog about any good deeds they witness around a station or when boarding and alighting a train using the hashtag #helpie.
It also urges people to think about their own safety when travelling around the Capital.
Last year there were nearly 1,500 platform-related accidents at Network Rail stations caused by incidents such as intoxication, people rushing to get on trains, struggling with luggage or prams or becoming trapped in train doors.

Win your poem on a poster
TfL's Travel Better London campaign uses poems to explain how passengers can reduce disruption and make the travelling environment more pleasant just by making small changes.
To be in with a chance of seeing your poem on posters across the Tube and bus network, write a rhyme about a travel habit that can be changed, such as dropping litter.
