In response to growth in the demand for IT professional certifications, BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and EXIN a leading international certification institute in the ICT domain, have formed an alliance to support IT professionals globally.

Jon Buttriss, CEO of BCS Learning and Development Ltd, part of the Institute explains: “We’re delighted to be working closely with EXIN; we share a common goal of supporting lifelong learning and helping IT professionals reach their full potential. IT is at the very centre of every business, therefore having IT teams who have undertaken professional development, including professional certifications, can help businesses meet their customer’s needs and stand out from the crowd.”

Bernd Taselaar, CEO of EXIN says: “It’s great to be working so closely with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT; together we will deliver our respective professional certification portfolios around the world to ensure the enhancement of the global IT profession.”

The agreement will allow BCS and EXIN to offer each other’s professional certification portfolios around the world. Through a phased introduction starting in early 2016 BCS will offer the new EXIN and ITAMOrg Foundation in IT Asset Management certificate and EXIN will deliver BCS’ Foundation certificates in Business Analysis.

In addition, the agreement will see BCS and EXIN work together to promote the use of global competency frameworks including the worldwide recognised Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) and European e-Competence Framework (eCF) to encourage professionalism in IT.
