Become an Artistic and Quality Assessor

Arts Council England is recruiting experienced cultural professionals to become independent Artistic and Quality Assessors.

The Artistic and Quality Assessment programme provides a fair, robust and transparent platform for discussions about the quality of work produced by the National Portfolio organisations and Major Partner Museums the Arts Council regularly funds.

Applications are welcomed from people from different art forms, backgrounds and age groups, to reflect the diversity of the work the Arts Council supports. Current assessors include artists, actors and academics; broadcasters, writers and producers; musicians, dancers and performers.

Particular areas of focus are: 

• Digital, live art and creative media work.
• Combined arts
• Dance
• Children and Young people experts
• Disability arts
• Rural and touring work
• Literature and Children’s literature
• Participatory and programmed experience across various art forms
