DRIVE-BY PLOTTERS SENTENCED TO LIFE

Tarik Hassane and Suhaib Majeed, inspired by the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), planned to carry out drive-by shootings of police, soldiers and members of the public.

They have been given life sentences following their conviction at the Old Bailey on 24 March.

For conspiracy to murder and preparation of acts of terrorism, Majeed will serve a minimum of 20 years and Hassane will serve a minimum of 21 years in prison.
