On Monday 05 September the European Commission launched a public consultation on future research and innovation challenges in the area of Cloud Computing to be addressed in the forthcoming H2020 LEIT ICT Work Programme 2018-2020.

The WP 2018-2020 Call for Proposals is expected to be published by the end of 2017 with new projects likely to be launched before the end of 2018. The Work Programme is expected to focus on infrastructures, services, technologies and innovation ripe for commercial deployment.

The public consultation, which is open until 10 October, will be followed by a Commission workshop on the 7 November to discuss the input and views gathered. techUK will be reviewing the issues being raised in the consultation and is seeking member input. Any members with specific issues in light of the issues being raised by the consultation are asked to contact Sue Daley by Monday 03 October.
